We're Getting Carpet!

Ok, so this is hardly thrilling news, but what can I say-- I'm easily pleased! :-) But seriously, I'm glad we are. We actually decided to replace the carpeting in over half the house. It's hard to match the carpet to replace only half, so we're just gonna do all the parts that connect. I'm relieved that it's arranged. And just to further prove how anal-retentive I can be, I moved the basket of dog toys from it's usual spot to on top of the stain so I won't have to see it.

Tonight James is working late, and I'm kinda bored. I like having time on my own, but tonight I just can't seem to find something to do. I watched a movie alone last night, and I read to every class aloud today for an hour each and my eyes are tired. I need a craft or a project. What do you like to do on the rare occasion that you have time to your self?

Read, call people, knit, sew, watch dance movies....

When I have a good block of Arin time in front of me, I usually spend it baking, knitting, or watching a movie I know my husband won't care about missing (like a foreign romance or a great 80s flick). Also, I take a hot bubble bath, preferably with a glass of wine or cup of tea and a good book or guilty-pleasure celebrity magazine.

Either I will try to read, go for a jog or bake some chocolate chip cookies!!! I plan to do the latter this weekend! :)

On the rare occasion that I am alone?
I have these old leather wingback chairs that we inherted from hubbies gran they got it as a wedding gift and brought it with them when they came over from the UK.
So I sit in my wingbaak and play CD`s while I sing along and imagine myself to be a writer or poet, I have a leather bound book that I haul out on these occassions and I write, write and write. And when I am not in the mood for that I put music on and dance like an insane person, read what a wrote previously and have a good old giggle at myself!

My husband camps every few weeks or has game night with his buddies I try to craft, catch up with friends, or go online. Good luck.

I have a lot of "Bethanie" time. Mark has rehearsals at night, so when he's there, I'm at home. I watch movies he wouldn't want to see. I almost always brew tea. I read, I craft, I call my mom or friend and chat. I clean - cleaning is just easier when he's not around for some reason? :)

My hubby is only home 3-4 days a week. I actually love it! I catch up on my TIVO, go to the gym, eat crap food like cereal for dinner, go to the movies w/ my girlfriends, play with my blog, read, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, and sometimes I like to scrapbook. Heck, I always tell you what I do because I write about it! heehee!
