Mint Madness

Today I did something nice for myself. My mom, sister, and I went to Atlanta today and went shopping at Lenox Square Mall. While stocking up on shampoo and conditioner at Aveda, I noticed a sign advertising massages, so I paid a mere 5 bucks for a 10 minute massage. It wasn't that long, but I've never had one before. I was so relaxed I could barely walk out of the mall! The woman who did it put this peppermint oil called blue oil on my neck and temples. It wasn't greasy or anything-- she only put a teensy bit. The oil alone was so cooling and refreshing that I then spent $12 to get some. I am seriously tempted to keep it in my desk drawer in my classroom. During stressful days, I could just dab a bit on my temples and chill.

In other minty news, I went to Teavana and tried one of their drinks at the tea bar. The one that sounded the best to me was the "Be the Grasshopper"-- peppermint and Morrocan Mint tea blended with crushed cookies, cream and ice. It was awesome!

I just realized that you really like your mints. Actually peppermint oil on the temples sounds like a good idea. A lady I used to work with used to do that when she got a headache. That "Be The Grasshopper" sounds so good. I wonder if we have a Teavana in town. If not, we need one for sure. By the way, 10 minutes is not long enough but you can't beat the price. I know I'd go for it.

Massages are heaven!!! Jeff and I had massages during our honeymoon, and I was seriously the most relaxed that I've ever been! That tea drink sounds super awesome ... I am a total fan of anything minty! Hooray for indulging yourself ~ you deserve it!

Isn't it amazing what a short massage can do? You really ought to treat yourself to a full hour sometime. There is absolutely nothing like it. Your mind and body will thank you profusely.

The oil sounds soooo relaxing.

I use the Chinese essential when I have migraines - tiger balm! I had a splitting headache on Thursday and it did the trick. Mind you I don't know what people around you would think about the smell! That Be The Grasshopper sounds delish! I'm drinking Bolthouse Farm's Vanilla Chai Tea with Protein that a friend turned me onto lately. Yummy!

You absolutely should treat yourself! Start a little jar to put your spare change & dollars in, and use that as your massage fund. It's absolutely indulgent and decadent, and INCREDIBLE!!!
