A First

Today I had my first-ever bikini wax and I totally got robbed, but it'll be nice for swimming at the hotel pool on vacation. If you are someone who shaves to go swimming, this is so much easier. It also didn't hurt nearly as bad as I thought it would.

Can you tell I'm getting bolder about what I will share on my blog? I know many people who know me personally read it, but that's ok. Nothing dirty, just the facts. :-) Hello James's mom! Hello Grandma!

When I have the $$ I get waxed. It hurts and is a bit shocking, but it's sooo much better than shaving. I'm just not brave enough to do the Brazilian though!

I have to laugh, it is winter here and you plan on going swimming. I know that our "winter" is not that bad compared to other-places. And if you are in a good hotel they should have a heated pool or at least a jaccuzzi. I am so excited abour your trip, I keep thinking of the places that you MUST go and see. We went to Robin Island last year and found out that neither me or the hubby we sea-faring folk. We played a game of you you-sick-me-sick, not pleasant at all. But Robin Island should be intrestting for you and you MUST go up Table Mountain and have sundowners - it was so romantic and the view was awesome. And then there is the list of places up here in Johannesburg that you must see!! I love my country - I should find a job in tourism.

awesome! I love the long-term effect. I also heard that as you wax, that particular hair follicle dies, and you have about 1000 hair follicles, so if you wax 1000 times, your hair will stop growing back. hmmm. Maybe it was 100. Because if it were 1000, you'd be approximately 200 years old by that point (saying you wax 5 times a year).LOL!
