The Saga Continues

Still here! We had hoped to maybe get something out last night, but there weren't any flights out. We were told this morning that there won't be any flights leaving today and not necessarily tomorrow either.

We have been placed on high priority because we have a sewage/plumbing problem back home. Some roots grew into our pipes and it's been a bit of a mess, so we explained that we have things to take care of at home and a rep is working to possibly get us a flight out tonight, but my hopes are not high. It could be a few more days . . . Send me some love. I have nothing better to do than wait in line for a computer to check my blog here at the hotel. We are afraid to leave for more than an hour or so at a time in case something changees. They said this morning that no flights would go out, but then a few domestic flights resumed, so we are standing by, fingers crossed.

Hannah - I am sorry you have to experience this nasty side of South African work ethics. Unfortunately some people fail to understand that strike actions affects the economy and lets not mention how it affects our reputation amongst our foreign guests. I hope you make it back home soon and pity you are not able to do more sightseeing. You would have absolutely luuurved Sun City.

Too bad about your flight situation ~ I'll cross my fingers that you'll be able to leave tonight! Ick about the sewage/pipe problem! What a bummer you have to return home to that!

Our thoughts are definitely with you! What a drag to know you've got something like that to deal with when you return. Try to make the best of it so you have good memories you can laugh about it in the future. :o)
