True Confessions

Now that I am over halfway through my pregnancy, I am starting to think about labor. It's not the pain that scares me, but the idea of accidentally pooping or peeing on my doctor.

Please comfort me.

My mom's best friend throughout nursing school was in the middle of labor, head was about to pop out and the dr said "ONE MORE BIG PUSH (insert name here)" and when she did she let out the biggest and loudest fart right in the dr's face and of course that killed the action and the dr yelled "that happens all the time, JUST KEEP PUSHING!!!"

I'm sure if it was to happen, it wouldn't be the first or the last for that doctor! :-) Heck, is that really worse than what the doc has to look at every day!?!

Allison is right. I am sure it has happened before. It's ok:)

maybe you should focus on getting the baby out instead of the other "might happen"s ;) it will be enough of a mess down there so don't you worry so much so soon.

You are not alone and not crazy. I am terrified of this too. I've heard it always happens and the nurses wipe it right away, but I'm still so worried about it.

I know you'll be fine. Your just gonna be so overjoyed after you have your baby that nothing like that will even matter. They say it does happen alllll the time. Their doctors, they see much worse! :)

That never even occurred to me. If it happens, it happens and like the others said, it's all happened before. I remember way back in the day when I was born, they gave enemas. I wonder if they still do?

I am sure that once the anticipation and excitement and yes, the pain, of labor kicks in, you won't care whether a troop of monkeys comes dancing out onto the table--you'll be working to bring your baby girl into the world, and that will be all that matters.

Dont' worry about it. It is all part and parcel of labour. The doctors are SO used to it, that I think they hardly even take notice. REALLY when you are in labour, that will be the last thing you are worried about

Ok, this happened to me. I didn't poop, but I did pee. When the doc got in the room all of the sudden I had an overwhelming urge to pee and I yelled "I have to pee!!!!!" You know what he said? He said "Well pee!!!!!!!!" And I did, all over the place, it came out with a vengence. As soon as I was done he said "Now push" It really was no big deal but I worried about it too.
