Christmas Spirit?

Christmas has always been my favorite time of year. I get in the Christmas spirit almost as soon as the first leaves are falling from the trees. I love this time of year. But for some reason, this year is different. I just haven't been feeling as festive as usual, and it's been bothering me. It could be that I'm pregnant and my hormones are different, or maybe that this year seems to be busier. I just know that I usually have more shopping done by now. I usually have baked some type of cookies. I am so worried that the season will pass me by, leaving me with regrets. This is my last Christmas before we have the baby. I may not have time to do everything I usually do next year, so I need to try to fit in as many Christmasy things as I can.

I guess it's normal to have an "off year," but I don't want a Christmas that's anything less than wonderful! Maybe these things I have planned will make me feel better:

-- the Christmas cookie swap party on Saturday
-- the shopping trip to Atlanta on Sunday with mom
-- the "Fantasy in Lights" at Callaway Garden on 12/20

Once you hold that precious girl and see Christmas through her eyes, it will be even more special than it has ever been. So don't beat yourself up too badly about this year. It just gets better

Melany's SO right!!!!! And don't worry about not doing as many things this Christmas as you have before ... your body is working hard, and you're growing a little girl! Just relax and enjoy the holidays! Next Christmas will be SO much fun to look forward to for you! I have really been doing SO many MORE things for Christmas now that Lucas is with us!

i hear where you are coming from. sometimes i feel that way too - it's like "am i doing enough? or will it all pass me by?" i think you have some fun things planned...and know that every Christmas will have its own special meaning even if we may not know it yet.

I'm SO with you on this one! I haven't gotten in the Christmas spirit at all and that is SO not like me! Time has somehow gotten away from me and it makes me sad. Callaway Gardens should be fun. I know people who drive the 2+ hrs to that every year and LOVE IT! I have never been, but maybe one day I will get to. :-)
