The Let Down

This day is known for 2 things: sales and disappointment. It's so hard to go back to normal after such a wonderful day yesterday. James and I took down our Christmas stuff today and did a lot of cleaning and organizing. The baby's room is still being cleared out, but we have made a lot of progress. I got kind of a late start this morning because I slept in late. I had a bad night last night with the acid reflux and throwing up. It's awful. I can't even sleep anymore. It's getting to the point where I'm scared to eat (and scared to go to sleep because I throw up in my sleep). My doctor said that if I have it this bad at 6 months, it'll only get worse as my uterus pushes my stomach up. Ugh.

Tomorrow is my dad's birthday, so we'll so something with him in the evening. My car also goes into the shop to get repaired from when that lady hit me last week. I'll be driving a rental this week. Other than that, I need to take it easy. My poor body is tired of aches and pains, nose bleeds, and vomiting. I need some rest. March 31 is my last day of work. It seems SOOOOO far away.

I am so sorry that you have been having such bad heartburn/acid reflux! I had one BAD night a few weeks ago where I threw up from it, but have been fortunate that it hasnt returned...yet. Hang in there!

Sounds like your body is really taking a hammering with the pregnancy. I agree that you should try to relax as much and as often as possible!! Happy birthday to your dad!

Wow, I'm so sorry the pregnancy is so hard on your body! Do Tums or anything like that help? I've just had a really achy back from doing too much lately, that's not too abnormal for me though even non pregnant! Try to get some rest and eat some non-acidy foods that don't make you sick. And remember to bring tissues with you everywhere!

I was lucky enough to only get acid reflux in my last month, I found it helped to sleep with one of those really big pillows (we call them 'Continental pillows').

I'm so sorry about the acid reflux. Does tea help or make it worse? I was going to suggest propping yourself up at night on pillows too, That must be miserable. I'm sure you've tried everything, crackers and 7Up!? You'd think in this day and age....March/April seems so far away, but it really isn't. It'll be here before you know it. Your Christmas sounds like it was nice though!
