I didn't take this picture, but this is exactly what I bought yesterday (with the exception of the nice detailing ours has). We now have a loan again, but it's not too bad. We were able to put down enough to cover a 1/3. I now have a warranty, which is nice. I also like having more room and being a bit higher up. Much easier for lifting baby girl in and out of her carseat. Being in my old Saturn felt a bit like sitting on the ground!
White wasn't my very first choice initially, but for some reason after test driving different colors, I honestly felt that this was the one we should get. It was as if God vetoed the others. I prayed for guidance, so I am hoping I made the right choice-- I think I did. It's a V6 engine, so I'll have to get used to getting gas more often than every 10-14 days (my old car was great that way-- maybe $50 a month in gas!)
On Friday night, we attended our first birthing class. The official start of the class was the Friday before, but I wasn't up for it after getting out of the hospital. I am still so sore. It hurts to walk and do basic things. I need a strong back to support all this baby weight. She's had another huge growth spurt according to my OBGYN. I am seeing someone about my back on Friday and then I might get a chiropractor. If anything, the pain is worse than it was. I am worried about the ribs healing in the next 4 weeks because baby girl could come then. Also, it hurts to lean over and I'm going to have a child and a carrier to cart around. I am trying to rest, but life is so crazy right now. Check this out:
I have all this after working all day
Tuesday: Gifted Class until 7:00 pm (I have 2 presentations that night)
Wednesday: Dentist appt and then go late to Classroom Mgt until 8:00 pm
Thursday: OBGYN at 3:15 and then go back to work for IB night until 9:00 probably
Friday: see a back specialist right after school and go right to my birthing class until 9:00 pm.
Rest? Uh, I don't think so!
Oh my goodness ~ what a *busy* schedule! I sure don't envy you there. I hope that you're able to get *some* rest ~ and just think, you'll be done with work *so* very soon! Yay! :) About your ribs ~ I hope that they feel better ASAP, because I can only imagine what it would feel like to push a baby out while feeling *so* much pain sitting up! Ugh, that would be awful! Congrats on your new wheels! It'll be great for when your little girl arrives. I love how our Matrix is higher up, too.

Posted by: Laura at February 26, 2006 08:09 PMWhat is up with all these gifted and classroom management classes? Isn't that why we went to college? I feel for you; I don't know what I'd do if people expected me to get home after 9 P.M. and still be able to function the next day.
Posted by: Chas at February 26, 2006 09:27 PMthis looks like a great choice! i wish you could take it easier, but i am sure you feel the same way. OH! i finished the book and i LOVED it. it left me hanging though, i can't wait for the next :)

i believe everything happens for a reason. and with God everything happens for a good reason.
Glad to hear about your new car, although you had to go thru the accident :(
45 more days and baby girl will be here.
Hope you feel much better today! God bless!
Hannah I got the link to your site from Lisanne, I lived in South Africa for most of my life and just moved to the states in 1998. I have to tell you that watching your beautiful photos from your visit to SA, had me crying. What wonderful memories you brought back. Man do I miss home!!!
I've added you to my blogroll, thanks again for a wonderful trip down memory lane. :)
Congrats on the new car! I hope you feel better soon!
Posted by: Ani at February 27, 2006 12:20 PMCOOL CAR!! (What is it? It's not a brand we have here, darn it). My car is also high off the ground, but not a cool 4x4! Coincedently its also white. We pick it around here because white cars stay coolest inside in the Hot African Sun, and it's pretty visible since we don't get snow on the ground- also apparently it has the highest resale value...hmmm Good CHoice!!
