Belly Buttons and Sleep Deprevation

-- Olivia's umbilacle stump fell off this morning, but it's still kind of gooey. The pediatrician said it sounds like it might need to be lanced??? Please, dear Lord, don't hurt my baby!!! We are going at 1:45 to have it looked at. *fingers crossed* that they don't have to do ANYTHING that hurts my baby girl. I can not handle it.

-- For those of you who said your baby was on a reversed sleep schedule, how/when did it finally change?? I am desperate. Help!!!

I hope Olivia's visit is serene and comforting. The talent show is tonight...wish me luck...although it is supposed to end at 8:30...I think I will bail at 8....I need my sleep.

On average what kind of sleep are you getting? Take care of yourself too! Coach Bev is supposed to be back at work this week. I hope you are having a good day!

Miss you!

The key to the sleep issue is to sleep when Olivia is sleeping. You might want to clean up or catch up, but don't. Sleep.

Shokufeh's right; try to get as much rest as you possibly can while Olivia's sleeping! That was hard for me to do, though. Someone told me to keep switching Lucas around in his bed each time ... put his head at opposite ends alternately [do you know what I mean?]. They said that somehow that would help him reverse his sleeping patterns, but I'm wondering if that's an old wives' tale! hehe :) I think that it took a month or two for him to start being more awake and to get into a rhythm. Oh, his umbilical area was *gross* when the thing fell off ~ LOL! :) We called the pediatrician because it looked like his innards were coming out. I freaked, LOL! :) I hope that Olivia's appointment will go OK today.

Lila's cord was a little cruddy looking when it first fell off, but it was fine. I'm sure Olivia will be fine too.

Her sleeping schedule was definitely reversed there for a while, and I don't know exactly how we got it changed around. The pediatrician told us you almost have to do it an hour a day...keep her awake an extra hour each day until it evens our.

Well, you've read about my lovely sleeping lately! lol. If i figure something out, i'll let ya know, and if you do, pleasssse save me! hehe.

Ava's cord was yucky too, it came off at 6 days old. Its perfect now, hope all is fine with olivia's.
