Weekend

Man, I have become a blog slacker! The truth is, we were super busy. See?

-- Friday, we took on another huge financial obligation each month. See, because we weren't having enough money issues (I just quit my job), our AC decided to break, and so we had to take out a loan to get a new system. We also decided to get an air purification system and have our ducts cleaned. We figured, we might as well get the works. What a way to spend 6K! I was gone most of the day with the baby because there was a crew here making a big mess.

-- Saturday, my aunt arrived from Maryland to see the baby. :-) We had a great weekend. That night, we ate at Carraba's where the baby decided to scream. James took her outside and gave her a bottle (thank goodness I thought to pump!) I also went shopping with my mom, but decided not to buy any clothes since I am not back to my fabulous former self (probably never will be!)

-- Sunday, more family stuff. Gave Olivia her first bath in her tub. I never did update, but the pediatrician cauterized her belly button (only the dead stuff, so it didn't hurt) and I had to wait until it healed. We were giving her sponge baths until yesterday.

Today, the AC people are back to clean our ducts. So, I get to spend a glorious day at home with 2 whining dogs stuck in the kitchen and a fussy baby who wants to be fed and I can barely find a private place to go. Later, we have a dr's appointment to see how much baby girl has grown. By the looks of her, she is well past her birth weight!

Here are some pictures from the weekend:

Awww ~ she looks *so* tiny and cute in her high chair! I *know* that Lucas was that small [not all that long ago], but sometimes it's hard for me to remember for some reason! Good luck with the air ducts ~ bet you'll be relieved to have that over with. Hope her pediatrician appointment goes well! Keep us updated! Oh, we have that same tub and *love* it. Lucas still uses it [without the hammock, of course!].

I just LOVE those chubby cheeks and that belly. It's funny how big their bellies get, especially after they eat.

We had to get a new AC system this time last year. I was quoted prices everywhere from 2 grand to 12 grand...it's crazy how expensive it is.

She is so sweet! Thanks for the update. We just ordered new AC, too. Although, I should rephrase that... we ordered it for the first time. So now we can LIVE in the house in the summer. Yay!

She's soo cute :) Keep us updated as to how big she is now. So sweet. Glad you're getting your AC fixed too. Where I live it's only hot for about a month! hehe. no need for it here. lol

I was worried about giving the bubby proper baths to start off with 'cos of his 'stump' thing, but my paed said to go ahead it would be fine. Either way - sponge bathing or 'imersion' bathing is the same - the baby isn't really dirty to start off with any way! Unless you count a bit of poop - which we get off with Pampers wipes before they bath anyway!

Well, it looks like you've got her sleeping now ;) We've got the same tub, too. MrMan likes to gum it.
ACs are so expensive - I think the industry knows we're at their mercy.

Man they grow up so quickly. Feels like yesterday when Zander was a newborn. Now he is a baby. Nothing of that new newborn look
