Remember the nursing in public issue? Well, I did it, finally, and it didn't go so well. There are many pervs in Columbus, GA.
I posted about it here.
Posted by Hannah at September 29, 2006 02:55 AMI'm so sorry you didn't have a good experience. I have never had a bad experience. Maybe because it is just more accepted here?
Posted by: Melany aka Supermom at September 29, 2006 08:44 AMSorry it wasn't what you had hoped for...society as a whole is usually accepting of the people who do it tactfully!
Mom comes tomorrow~
TGIF!

Posted by: Ani at September 29, 2006 12:40 PMI HIGHLY recommend a bebe aulait (also known as hooter hiders) nursing covers. My friend makes them and soon will be selling them online (www.insipiredbyjenna.com). I had a really hard time nursing with my first baby, but with this one it's been so easy. The nursing cover completely covers your baby, goes around your neck so it can't fall down, and had boning so you can see your baby. I love it!
Posted by: M at September 29, 2006 08:46 PMAnother thing I thought of. It is WAY less obvious that you are nursing, when you do it without a blanket. I don't know if you looked at the photos for the cycle race the boys did. There's a photo of me nursing Zander and you can't see that I am.

So sorry it didn't go well.
I would second Melany on the no-blanket suggestion. Somehow, trying to hide it draws more attention, when usually a shirt provides just the right amount of coverage, and makes people think your baby is just sleeping across you.
