Too Damn Hot

You know it's too damn hot when there are still lizards in your yard in mid-October. I tried to take a picture of one, but he ran away.

Come over here to see why I'm the worst mother in the whole world. The dreaded has finally happened.

Anyone know any sites that host pictures for free? Kodak is about to dump me unless I buy something. Help! BTW, 6 month pictures are on the sidebar!

I agree about the heat~where I'm @ in GA, the last week & a half has been *really* nice~temps in the high 60's-low 70's~& we turned our thermostat to heat (had it set on 70~only because of the boys, I wouldn't have even turned it on otherwise)~but today I turned the air back on! It was 78 degrees in our house! ICKY! Hannah, you're not a bad mother~accidents like this happen to ALL mothers. When Kendall was 10 months old, I had laid back down in the bed after getting Justin on the schoolbus. I had been asleep probably about 10-15 minutes when I heard a loud "thump" & then Kendall screaming @ the top of his lungs! He had climbed up the rail & flipped out~I ran to his room & he was laying on his stomach. The mattress in his crib was still on the highest rack~I called Bobby & told him the 1st thing he was doing when he got home was help me to lower his mattress. We did & Kendall was & is fine! You're NOT a bad mother~don't be so hard on yourself :)

I'm sure I'd done something like that and just put it out of my mind. She's okay, mama! I caught the post on co-sleeping. We did it and I have no regrets. He had to go into his own bed when he got too big, but by then, he was ready.

You've heard of flickr.com, right? With a free account, you can upload a number of pictures, I wanna say 20MB, but not sure, per day. I've yet to reach the limit and I don't upload everyday, but it works for me. They have tools where you can copy html code and place on your site or blog directly from the image. Sorta neat. Have a look.

Oh umm - Snapfish is free! I think I sent you an email about them the other day. I don't think they dump the pictures? I still have some freebies left from when I signed on too - yay! Free prints!

When I got in the car yesterday it said the temp was 102 degrees. Yowza!

I'm glad Olivia is fine, from what I hear from moms, it seems a dropping experience is completely normal. Don't be so hard on yourself!

Aww, don't beat yourself up. It was an accident and it sounds like Olivia is OK.

Kodak will dump you if you don't buy anything? Huh? Never heard of that. Weird. I haven't bought anything from them in several months...wonder if I'll get notice. When I'm not useing Kodak Gallery, I use Snapfish and Flickr. Good luck with the photo host.

I've been with Yahoo for a very long time and they never made me by them. Flickr is also good. I got rid of snapfish because when I did buy from them they lost my stuff and wanted me to buy more. Hah! Good luck.

Photobucket isn't too bad. I only used it a little bit till I found something I was more into to use for my baby girl's pictures (I made her a blog at Vox).

That said, Vox isn't too bad either. Let me know if you are interested and need an invite!

I LOVE flickr. And I used to love Shutterfly too. Its still good, but I dont "need" them so much anymore. Flickr is AWESOME. And if you have a flickr account (even the free one Like I have) you can go to this site:

http://flagrantdisregard.com/flickr

and do some really neat things with your pictures.

Hannah, I *completely* know how you feel ~ believe me. And you are absolutely *NOT* the worst mother in the world! Experiences like that are normal. They happen. Olivia is fine, which is what matters ... and her carrier cushioned her. Lucas has fallen off beds SEVERAL times ... fallen backward off our endtable ... fallen off our ottomans ... and then he split his lip that time, recently. She was probably just more scared and taken aback than anything. You're OK ... and that probably won't be the last tumble that she takes. It's awful to see things like that happen, though, I *KNOW*. (((hugs))) to you ...

I misspoke, the limit for flickr free is 20MB per month.
