Atlanta and Magazines

We had an awesome time in Atlanta today with my parents. It was a long day, with lots of time in the car (we got lost) and Olivia was so good!

We did some shopping at one of the awesome malls up there. It's one of the ones celebrities go to, but I've never seen any. :-( I thought of GFF because we ate at the same restaurant (California Pizza Kitchen) and sat at the same table because there's a lot of room for a stroller. I saw a million things I wanted and had to continuously remind myself that the reason I could not buy them is because I am staying home with Olivia, and then I didn't want them anymore. Well, almost . . .

Next, we headed to the Whole Foods Market where I stocked up on fresh produce to make more baby food (so much cheaper!!!) and shampoo/conditioner (got some awesome mint stuff really cheap-- love that tingly feeling!)

Then tonight, I had a rare luxury: a long bath. James went to bed with Olivia and I had time to soak and catch up on my magazines: Saveur, Bon Appetit, Mothering, Parenting, American Baby . . .

BTW, I'm trying to decide what magazines I want to renew since most of my subscriptions are up in the next few months (except Saveur, paid for 3 years). Any recommendations? What do you like to read?

Tomorrow (well today actually) my daughter is 7 months!!! I'll write her letter tomorrow complete with many new pictures.

WOW again I am the first to post~ I am either up too late or blogging too much.

Ben and I made it home safely. Today was an experience. I had an upset tummy on the drive there, and i think i sprained my foot during the show. Sugarland was AWESOME. I love her voice (its the 1st time I have seen them) and they're from Atlanta and happy to be at Hi Fi Buys Ampitheater rather than a bar....Ronnie was sexy and soothing voice wise. OMG I am totally obsessed. Yes, I need therapy, but I would gladly have his children.

Glad ya'll had a good day in Hotlanta . I have such a problem with impulsove shopping. I want EVERYTHING!!!!!

As for magazines, Oprah has tons of stuff but NAtional Geographic is what first came to mind for You.

I like Jane magazine, but it gets a little raunchy sometimes. I also like People, but it's kind of expensive for a subscription.

Glad to hear you had a good day yesterday :) I'm in the same boat as you as far as shopping because I'm a SAHM too. As far as magazines~I like Readers Digest. Can't wait to see the new pics of sweet Olivia :)

I love minty bath stuff! That scalp tingly feeling is so neat.:) Glad you got in a hot bath ... can't wait until I can take them again. Happy 7 months!

Cooking wise... I love Cook's Ill., it is so awesome because of all the tips and how they try and test the recipes till they are perfect... it is the only cooking mag I get now because the other ones... well their recipes never came out right and Cook's Ill- they have all been so perfect... they also test cooking products and ingredients... I can't live without this mag...

The other mag I love is Guideposts... the perfect bathroom read... and full of great stories to uplift you...

I think you can still get American Baby free with those cards from the OBGYN office... hehehe...

Glad you had fun. I like to read mostly cooking and homey magazines. Like Real Simple, Rachel Ray's magazine, Paula Deen's mgazine, Martha Stewart, etc. I read the gossip magazines on line so I don't buy them.

Right now I'm luvin: Everyday Food, Everyday with Rachael Ray, Craft, Real Simple, Blueprint and Readymade. I like magazines waaaaay too much for my own good. ;)
