Quick! Ideas!!!

I've asked for book suggestions before, and you guys always seem to have great taste! This time, it's serious!!!! I just finished "The Time Traveler's Wife" last night around 2:00 am, and after many tears (yes, many!!!), I am depressed and totally missing this book. Only a few other books have made me cry like that: the Mark of the Lion series (those of you who've read them are totally nodding in agreement), and "One Child" by Tori Hayden. I need something *REALLY* good to get into. It's my escape! I have a pile of books next to my bed, but nothing's grabbing me.

Will be v. sad until I get back into something. I'm willing to except that few characters are as sexy as Henry (did anyone else think he was sexy? Or maybe I'm just weird?), but I suppose any book you liked will do! :-)

Wow ~ *so* glad that you enjoyed the book. I just couldn't get into it for some reason! All of the time shifts and everything!

I've mentioned it is my favorite book in the world. After finishing it, I thought about it every single night while I was going to sleep, for about two weeks.

I've never found characters to get into like I did with those two... it touched me like no other book ever has.

I would recommend the Outlander series if you haven't tried it. However it doesn't grab you right off the bat... takes a while to get into it.

I'm not sure if you have ever read it but my all time favourite book is 'The Power of One' by Bryce Courtenay. I could not put it down! I have the sequel 'Tandia' here to read but haven't got around to it yet. :)

I too LOVED the Time Traveler's Wife. They're making a movie about it and I think it's coming out in a year or so. Two books that I really enjoyed were the Kite Runner and The Red Tent.

Oh, I read Power of One many years ago and LOVED it!! Also, my all time fav is the Red Tent but I think you've read that, didn't we talk about it once? Wally Lamb's I know this much is true is also amazing. We should do a book swap and just mail our favorites back and forth!

There is a book called the Sunday Wife that is really good....I forget who wrote it though! I'm a fan of quirky girly fun books by Jane Green or Jennifer Wiener. They are fun books to read!

Have you read 90 Minutes in Heaven yet? I'm picking it up tomorrow. Its written by a man who was declared dead, traveled the road to heaven and then regained life shortly after. If I recall correctly he was in a car accident and sustained some very serious injuries. They were really raving about it on the radio.

I loved The Other Boleyn Girl and The Queen's Fool, both by Philippa Gregory, both historical fiction.
