True or False?

Deciding you want everything ordered and hopefully delivered BEFORE you move in your new house makes you completely OCD.

Everytime I do something for the house-- go shopping for a lamp shade, or browse the internet for area rugs, James tells me, "It doesn't have to be done now."

My response: Why the heck not? If I can get it done now, I'd much rather have it all ready to be set up when we move in. James thinks he's somehow protecting me from stress by telling me to do things gradually, but to me, stress is having a bunch of things hanging over my head and a baby on its way.

I'm with you on this. I would be much more stressed out if I had all that to do after I moved in, I too would rather get stuff done now while you are at your parents without too much to do.

I definitely wouldn't call it OCD. If it causes you less stress to go ahead and get it done now then that's what needs to be done. Maybe it's a money thing? My husband would be the type that would tell me to do things gradually so that I didn't get stressed out when he was really wondering how much money I was spending all at once.

I hear you! My problem is that the hubby is trying to stop me buying stuff for the new baby - because our date is still 5 weeks away - um HELLO!?? I'm not referring to the mountain of stuff I ordered through Amazon, but big stuff, like a new cot mattress, and new sheets. Basics like baby wash/bum cream/baby shampoo/etc etc - and he keeps saying, "I'll just get that while you're at the hospital.." Um, I do-hont think so buddy!! We're still wondering what to do for a compactum, because hubby has pinched ours (it's a basic chest of drawers type) and we don't have an alternative yet... Time is a-ticking, and my obgyn keeps telling me that we'd better be packed and ready, because this baby could arrive any moment since he's practically full grown already... AAAAACCCKKK!!!

In my oponion, it'd be easier & much less stressful to get things done now before you move in. Once you get moved in, you'll have unpacking to do, arranging all the rooms, getting the nursery ready, etc., etc., etc.!! You definitely want to have all that done before Baby Boy arrives! Good luck!
