Still no baby and nothing really to make me think he's coming any time soon. The BH continue, but they aren't that painful, they aren't regular, and they change when I move around.
It's not like I'm overdue or anything. In fact, I probably wouldn't be expecting anything at this point if my body wasn't so close. I am almost halfway dilated! And my cervix has the characterisitics of someone in active labor. My mucous plug is gone (didn't notice it come out, but it's gone). Basically, I'm so close that at some point, the BH alone are going to "put me over the edge." I'm so dilated that even these irregular ones should at some point be putting me past the point of no return so to speak and then things should pick up quickly.
The waiting is killing me. At this point, real labor seems so elusive that I can't quite imagine anything turning into anything.
I hope I'm wrong.

I was the same way - dilated, effaced, plug had been passing for weeks, all that good stuff - except I was having NO contractions. And my labor started in a snap. Plus it's your second, so it should speed along once it gets going. Try not to be discouraged! *hugs*

It's funny ~ I had so many "tightenings" down there toward the end with Meredith, and I wondered what the heck was going on. Now I know that was dilation ... at my last OB appointment, I was 4 cm! hehe :) Your body is gearing up for the big event ... I'm sure that it'll happen this weekend. It just sounds like it. Or if not, maybe early next week. But it really, really sounds to me like you are VERY, VERY close!!! I can't wait to find out what you're naming your little guy and to see pictures of him. When is your actual due date? I thought that it was June 1st. BTW, how do you tell if your mucus plug is gone if you didn't see it come out? (Or is that TMI to ask? hehe)
